The terms we work under. They are short on purpose — anything that would surprise you belongs on the estimate, not buried here. Last updated 1 August 2026.
Estimates and pricing
A diagnostic visit carries a $69 trip fee, waived in full if you book the repair. Estimates for planned work — panel upgrades, water heaters, system changeouts — are free.
The flat price we quote before starting is the price you pay. If opening a wall reveals work the quote could not have covered, we stop and re-quote. You approve the new figure in writing before we continue, or we close up and you owe only the original diagnostic.
Scheduling and access
You get a two-hour arrival window and a text with the technician’s name on the morning of the visit. Someone eighteen or over must be present and able to give access to the work area.
If nobody is home when the technician arrives, we will call and wait fifteen minutes before releasing the slot. A repeat no-access visit is charged at the trip fee.
Our labour warranty
Labour is warrantied for twelve months from the invoice date. If the same fault returns within that period we come back and correct it at no charge. Parts carry whatever term the manufacturer offers, which we list on the invoice.
The warranty does not cover work altered by someone else afterwards, damage from misuse, or a different fault in the same system.
Payment
Payment is due when the work passes your walkthrough, not before. We take card, cheque and ACH; jobs over $1,000 can be financed through Wisetack subject to their approval.
Cancellation
Cancel or move a visit any time up to two hours before the window opens at no cost. Inside that, or once a technician is en route, the trip fee applies.
Licensing and insurance
We hold NC General Contractor #34982, Plumbing P-1 #21774 and Electrical SP-SFD #29118, carry $2,000,000 general liability and workers’ compensation for every employee. Certificates go out with each estimate and are available on request.
